AutoTweeterPro version 2.0 Autotweeter an introduction Autotweeter is a tweet sending program which runs on the desktop.AutoTweeter can schedule your tweets with intervals and send them out as you have scheduled. You can queue up your tweets to be tweeted later onto a text file and specify a time for autotweeter to tweet from it. Autotweeter will read each tweets from your tweet file and post it to twitter. You can automate your twitter using autotweeter. You can send tweets even while you sleep. You can use autotweeter as a marketing tool, or for personal uses like sending a joke at every minute or hour or so. Limitations of trial version * Shorten URL is not available , the shorten URL button will be disabled. You will not be able to shorten URLs in your tweets from autotweeter. * Repeat tweets are not availalable.AutoTweeter can repeat your tweets once it has reached the end of the tweetfile,but this option is disabled in the trial version. * Windows Startup – AutoTweeter can automatically start up when windows starts up. This option is also not available in trial version. * Sends Ad Tweet once – In trial version , for each start of tweeting , an ad tweet will be tweeted from your account. * Can send only 10 tweets in one go – In trial version , you can send only 10 automated tweets in one go. After that autotweeter will stop tweeting. You have to start it again to resume tweeting. Pre requisites for running autotweeter A valid twitter account - if you do not have an account , visit www.twitter.com to create a free account. An internet connection – if you are able to access websites like www.google.com on your browser, you have an internet connection. A Java Runtime environment - Most modern operating system comes with bundled java runtime environment. If you want to check , whether your system has java runtime environment, visit this URL . If your system has Java Runtime Installed, you will see the page as shown in the below image telling that “ You have the recommended Java Installed”. C:\Users\admin\Desktop\atshots\congrats.jpg If you do not have Java Runtime Installed, it will direct you to download and install Java Runtime Enviroment.The installation will take a minute or so depending upon your internet connection speed. The download page for Java Runtime Environment will be similar to the one as shown in the image below. Installing autotweeter Autotweeter is very easy to install,infact there is no need to install. Just download the copy of autotweeter. AutoTweeter comes packaged in a Zip file. Use any compression software like,winzip,winrar or 7zip to unzip autotweeter to any drive or folder you wish to. When you have successfully unzipped autotweeter, you will see a folder structure as shown in the image below. Note: Use any of the compression programs like winzip,winrar or 7zip to extract the zipped folder to any location of your choice. Uninstalling autotweeter AutoTweeter is very easy to uninstall too. Just delete the entire AutoTweeter folder. It’s simple as that. All the tweet files, all your settings are deleted. AutoTweeter will be wiped clean from your computer. Starting autotweeter If you have all the pre requisites for running autotweeter, you can simply start autotweeter by double clicking the icon. You can see the below balloon tip message when autotweeter has started successfully in your computer system tray. If you do not have Java Runtime Environment, which is needed for autotweeter to run, a message as shown in the below image will be shown. You will need to download and install Java Runtime Environment from this URL. Please see the pre-requisites section above for more details on installing Java Runtime Environment. The dashboard is divided into many tabs which has specific purposes. AutoTweeter tweets using the settings and the inputs that you provide on the dashboard. Opening the dashboard. Dashboard can be opened by right clicking the autotweeter icon in your system tray and selecting the dashboard option from the context menu as shown below. The dashboard can also be invoked by simply double clicking the autotweeter icon too. using dashboard’s tabbed interface. The tabbed interface can be navigated by clicking on the tab heads. Each tab has its own specific purposes. When a tab is activated, it becomes blue in color. The below table describes the purpose of each tab in detail. Configure The configure tab is used to configure settings of autotweeter. In this tab window you can specify Twitter username Twitter password Tweet Interval Tweet file Repeat tweets option Windows Startup option * Twitter username - input twitter username * Twitter Password - input twitter password * Tweet interval - the time interval ( minutes ) between each tweets. * Tweet file - the text file to which you are going to enter your queued tweets. Remember to enter the extension of the tweet file name. For example : “MyTechTips.txt” and not “MyTechTips” * Repeat tweets - select this option to repeat the same tweeting cycle once autotweeter has reached the end of the tweet file. [ This feature is not available in trial version ] * Windows startup – select this option to start autotweeter automatically when windows operating system starts. [ This feature is not available in trial version ] * Windows startup - Select this option to start autotweeter automatically during windows operating system startup. [ This feature is not available in trial version ] Note: * New settings will not take effect unless you click the save button. * If no tweet file exists with the name you have provided, A new tweet file will be created after you click the save button. * All the tweet files are stored as ‘txt’ files in autotweeterservices folder. The tweet files can be opened in notepad program of windows operating system. Auto tweet The auto tweet tab is used to queue up tweets to the tweetfile.The tweets are tweeted to twitter according to the preset time interval that you specify in the configure tab. The tweets are tweeted in the order that they are entered. You can also shorten long urls and add it to your tweets in this panel. The tweets are added to a file called the tweet file which is simply a text file that you can open in notepad. The tweets are entered each line by line to the tweetfile.The tweet file is specified in the configure tab. URL TEXTBOX TWEET MESSAGE * URL textbox - AutoTweeter can shorten the long urls that you may want to include in your tweets. Copy paste the long urls that you find in browser address bar to this textbox and press enter or click the Shorten button, wait for a bit , the shortened URL will appear in your tweet message text area. * Tweet Message - type your tweets here , you can also use short urls in between your tweets. There is a counter which shows how many characters are left for you to type. Twitter allows only 140 characters. After you have finished typing a tweet, press enter in your keyboard or click tweet later button. Your tweet is saved and queued up in the tweet file which is currently in use. Quick Tweet Unlike the autotweet tab, the quick tweet tab is used to send instant tweets to twitter. The tweets entered in this window will be sent immediately upon clicking the tweet it button or by pressing enter in the tweet message area. The tweets entered here are not saved to tweet file to be tweeted later. URL TEXTBOX TWEET MESSAGE * URL textbox - AutoTweeter can shorten the long urls that you may want to include in your tweets. House keeping The housekeeping tab window is used to do maintenance and management for the tweetfiles.The house keeping tab window shows statistics about your tweets like how many total tweets are available in a tweet file, how many tweets are sent, how much is left etc.You can also reset the tweet file to any number of line that you want to. Next time the particular tweet file is used, AutoTweeter will start tweeting from that resetted line. You should click save after each setting you do. You should select a row in the table to do a particular operation. Select Total tweets Tweets done Tweets left Reset tweet line * Select - tick the checkbox to do any operation like delete or reset a particular row * Total tweets - this column shows the total number of tweets which are available in the tweet file * Tweets done - this column shows the total number of tweets which has been sent to twitter from the tweet file * Tweet left - this column shows the remaining count of tweets queued to be sent from the tweet file * Reset tweet line - enter a tweet line number from which you want to start tweeting, for example if you want to jump or rewind to a particular tweet line to tweet from, enter the number of the tweet line and save. [ This feature is not available in trial version ] About This tab window shows particular information of the current version of the autotweeter you are using and customer support email address. Register If you are using the trial version and want to upgrade to full version of autotweeter , you should generate a challenge key from this window and email it to register@autotweeter.in , you should also make a payment through http://www.paypal.com to sales@autotweeter.in prior to sending the challenge key. Click on generate challenge key button to generate challenge key. Subsequent clicking of challenge key button can generate many challenge keys, it doesn’t matter, and you can send us any challenge you want to. Start tweeting Once you have configured autotweeter using the dashboard options and are ready to start tweeting, right click on system tray to invoke the context menu and select start tweeting. Autotweeter will start tweeting at the time interval that you have set in the configuration. It will take each tweet from the tweet file you have configured and update the tweets to twitter. When autotweeter has queued a tweet for tweeting a balloon tool tip is shown as below. The tweet which is shown in the balloon tool tip is the tweet which is in the front of the queue and it will be the tweet which is going to be tweeted next. After a tweet has been sent successfully to twitter from autotweeter, another balloon tip will be shown in the system tray as shown below , telling that your tweet has been sent. Note : The trial version of autotweeter can tweet only 10 tweets. After the 10 tweets, AutoTweeter will stop tweeting. You have to again start tweeting for autotweeter to continue tweeting the next lines. Stop tweeting At any point of time, if you need to stop tweeting, simple right click on the system tray and select stop tweeting option. AutoTweeter will save your last tweeted line and the next time you resume the tweeting, AutoTweeter will resume from the next line in the tweet queue.
